Dearest Gentle Reader 🪶📜

If ever there were an afternoon destined for society pages, it would be the Bridgerton-inspired tea at The Lanesborough. ☕💐

From delicate pastries fit for a duchess to teacups that sparkle brighter than Lady Whistledown’s finest gossip, every moment feels like it could be the talk of the Ton 💃

One cannot help but sigh that 26th February feels so far away as we await the next part of season 4—though this elegant indulgence makes the wait almost bearable.

Until then, I shall be found sipping tea, gossiping and pretending I have a calling card to deliver. 🎀✨

Sundays are for ROASTS 🍽️🔥

Did you know? It’s National Yorkshire Pudding Day today!🥳

Tucked into a roast at 601 Queens Road and it did not disappoint – tender meat, crispy potatoes, seasonal veg, rich gravy and all the classic trimmings.

For the first time ever we got a veggie option and have to say it was very nice! The Yorkshire was one of the best I've had.

If you’re looking for a cozy spot for a hearty Sunday lunch in Wimbledon, this one’s well worth a visit.

ENDING SOON. The most Instagrammable afternoon tea of 2026 🫖🎈

@feastevent present their signature balloon experience at the conservatory at @syonparkofficial — where you can reserve a balloon exclusively for your table and enjoy afternoon tea or dinner surrounded by soft light and elegant styling. The atmosphere feels calm, refined and effortlessly chic. 💁‍♀️

On arrival, guests are escorted from the gate to the conservatory, as the area is closed to the public during the experience.

The afternoon tea offering is what you would expect from a classic afternoon tea. The tea selection includes breakfast, Earl Grey and fruit teas, alongside coffee and hot chocolate. A selection of sandwiches is served, featuring coronation chicken, cucumber with cream cheese, salmon, and egg with cress. The desserts are well presented, we had to take some boxes home as we were stuffed!

Staff were really lovely and friendly 😊

Overall, was a really nice experience in a beautiful setting ✨️

The event is only on at this location until 2nd Feb!

Happy New Year, foodies! 🎉
Make sure you add this restaurant to your 2026 bingo card.

This Mexican gem brings bold, deeply rooted cooking to Marylebone, serving up small plates and sharing dishes that work just as well for brunch as they do for dinner.

Led by chef Adriana Cavita, the menu celebrates regional Mexican flavours and traditional techniques, drawing inspiration from across Mexico while letting top-tier British produce shine. 🌮🇲🇽🇬🇧

What we ate:
🌮 Ceviche Tostada – Sea bream, avocado, red onion, seasonal citrus, lemon balm & ginger
🔥 Brocheta de Pollo – Char-grilled chicken skewers, herb marinade, habanero & grasshoppers
🍄 Brochetas de Hongos (ve) – Grilled king oyster mushrooms, red adobo, árbol chilli & herb sauce
🥩 Carne Asada – British dry-aged rib-eye, Cavita’s red mole, leeks & parsnip purée
🌯 Enmoladas con Pollo – Fried tortillas, Cavita’s red mole, grilled chicken, feta & sour cream

Every dish was fresh and packed with flavour, especially the red mole - I could drink a jug of it. The service was warm, the drinks beautifully presented—and delish!

One of my 2026 goals is eating better, not just eating out—and Cavita absolutely earns its square on the bingo card.
